BERNARD GUAY (France, 20th century). "Homer Simpson." Plaster. Certificate of authenticity included. Signed on the base. Measurements: 97 x 30 x 30 cm. A full-relief sculpture in polychrome plaster, depicting the popular character Homer Simpson, dressed in a blue shirt and shorts. The figure, with a distinctly caricatured character and humorous aesthetic, features a meticulous three-dimensional interpretation of the character’s anatomical and facial features, highlighting his expressive, bulging eyes and characteristic mouth. Depicted standing in a carefree pose, with his hands behind his back and resting on a black circular pedestal. A piece with a distinct pop art style that brings one of the most recognizable icons of contemporary popular culture into the realm of sculpture.
