A very fine print on white laid paper, from the first state (of 2), prior to the two scratches on the ground beneath the reclining Bacchante and another to the left of the hair of the Bacchante holding the shield, trimmed at the edge of the plate or very slightly outside it. Minimal foxing. Provenance: P. de Baudicour (unmarked); sale of the collection of art dealer Henri Baderou (3rd sale at Drouot, uncataloged, June 26, 1996). AABM stamp (Lugt 3075).
