PERSIA, 19TH CENTURY In the tradition of Reza Abbasi (c. 1565–1635) and his followers A set of two paintings on paper depicting female figures, in the style of the Isfahan school. The first depicts a young woman seated in a landscape, holding a bouquet of flowers, dressed in a richly ornamented costume and wearing a turban with a plume, against a background of stylized clouds. The second depicts a dancer in motion, one arm raised, wearing a long dress with flowing drapery. Ink and color on paper for the first; ink drawing on paper for the second. Framed under glass 18.5 x 11.5 cm and 20.5 x 11 cm (visible area) (Signs of wear, stains, and discoloration) Provenance: - Collection from the south of France
