CHINA, Transition Period, 17th century A rare porcelain vase in a double-gourd shape, mounted on a short foot, with a globular lower body, the upper section pear-shaped, featuring a cobalt-blue decoration on a white background depicting Luohan moving through a landscape on the lower section, a decoration of floral and geometric friezes in the middle section, and a scene of a scholar and children on a terrace in the upper section; the neck is adorned with flowering branches.
