Christian SAUER (born in 1977) "Colourfields #91" Mixed media on loose anthracite canvas, signed, titled, and dated "2024" on the back Not mounted on a stretcher 130 x 200 cm Bibliography: * Christian Sauer (born 1977) is a master’s student at the Berlin University of the Arts, and the city of Berlin plays a recurring role in his work, which has been celebrated in numerous exhibitions. * Sauer’s technique, “glued painting,” is unusual. The artist assembles particles of dried acrylic paint to form figurative motifs and works them with a brush—thus achieving highly unusual color gradients and tremendous plasticity in his pictorial expression.
