Rare erotic Swiss pocket watch, 0.800 silver, Tellus 514 C movement, circa 1920–1930 Unusual erotic pocket watch of Swiss manufacture with a hand-painted colored dial and a revealing figurative depiction featuring Cupid. Case made of 0.800 silver, stamped accordingly on the inside, with the master/manufacturer’s mark “KB” Mechanical hand-winding movement, marked “TELLUS 514 C”; the dial features a small signature on the right-hand side. The erotic depiction is designed as an automaton/joke watch and is among the most sought-after variants of historic Swiss pocket watches. Signs of age and wear are present on the case and dial; there are scratches in places and minor damage to the paintwork. The lug is missing; the movable part is not securely fastened and falls off at times. Case diameter 46.2 mm, total weight 51.9 grams; the dial is slightly loose; the movement is running; “only a man’s best part is movable.”
