249 - Female wooden figure. 1st Intermediate Period, 2115–2040 B.C. Wood, H 41 cm (excluding the base and inlaid parts). A female figure with a slightly stiff gait, her left leg stepped forward, wearing a three-part wig and featuring separately crafted arms that hang straight down at her sides with outstretched, slightly elongated fingers. Apart from the hair, there are traces of paint, primarily indicating jewelry such as a necklace, bracelets, and anklets, as well as sandals. The nipples are represented by small pins. Very appealing condition with many details. The right forefoot is missing. Provenance: Ex Gorny & Mosch 319, 2026, Lot 249. From the private collection of C.T., Belgium.
