94 - Worshipper with an offering. Phoenicia, ca. late 6th – first half of the 5th century B.C. Reddish-brown terracotta, H 44 cm. A standing youth in a floor-length, pleated robe. His right arm is raised; in his left hand, held in front of his abdomen, he holds an offering. His left leg is slightly forward. The figure stands on an altar-like base with a projecting plinth. With TL analysis! Traces of marine growth; expertly restored. Provenance: Formerly in the Ifergan Collection (Málaga). Formerly at Aphrodite Ancient Art Gallery, New York, before 1983.
