Anneliese Wolfhagen-Lucke 1909 Berlin-Charlottenburg – 1997 Hanover (attributed) – Portrait of a Girl – Oil on canvas (painted on both sides). 50.5 x 40 cm, 52.5 x 41.5 cm (dimensions including frame). On the reverse, a painting of two children by Ernst Wolfhagen from 1935 (soiled). Artist’s frame molding. Slightly warped and soiled. – Provenance: From the artist’s family estate. Anneliese Wolfhagen-Lucke studied at the Westendschule in Berlin and at the Staatliche Kunstschule Berlin (studio of R. Grossmann). In 1935, she married Ernst Wolfhagen. She participated in exhibitions organized by the Kunstverein Hannover and GEDOK (of which she was a member), as well as in Hamburg, Rome, and elsewhere.
