Ivo Hauptmann 1886 Erkner – 1973 Hamburg – Floral Still Life – (1965) Watercolor on paper. 46.5 x 38.5 cm. 56 x 46 cm (dimensions including frame). Signed and dated lower right: Ivo Hauptmann 1965. Framed under glass. Ivo Hauptmann was a student of Lovis Corinth in Berlin and Ludwig von Hofmann in Weimar. In 1903, he made his first trip to Paris, where he met Signac. He was a student at the “Académie Julian.” From 1928 to 1933, he served as chairman of the Hamburg Secession.
