Framed under glass. - Lit.: Rosenbach, Detlev. Eduard Bargheer. Catalog Raisonné of Prints, 1930–1974. Hanover 1974. Bargheer studied at the Hamburg-Lerchenfeld School of Applied Arts until 1918 and became a member of the Hamburg Secession in 1929. In 1939, Bargheer moved to Italy and turned stylistically toward abstraction. In 1955 and 1959, he participated in the 1st and 2nd Documenta exhibitions. In 1963, he became a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts.
