Art Deco necklace with diamonds and sapphires in platinum Circa 1925–35. Platinum, unhallmarked. Total weight: 14.6 g. 2 old-cut diamonds totaling approx. 1.2 ct (w/si-p). Approx. 26 old-cut diamonds totaling approx. 2.6 ct. Various diamond roses. Total weight: 4–4.5 ct. 6 baguette-cut sapphires totaling approx. 1–1.2 ct. Pendant dimensions: 4 x 3.2 cm. Chain length: 52 cm. Very good condition. Art Deco necklace with an intricately crafted, strictly symmetrical centerpiece in an architectural-geometric design. The openwork composition, richly set with diamonds, is accentuated by two rectangular sapphire sections arranged on either side. Larger old-cut diamonds emphasize the vertical central axis, while a fan-shaped, diamond-set decorative element forms the lower border. The dynamic interplay of clean lines, varied diamond cuts, and deep-blue sapphires lends the piece its characteristic elegance.
