Antique brooch/pendant with sapphire and diamond border Circa 1900. Platinum and yellow gold, unhallmarked. Weight: 7.9 g. 1 oval-cut sapphire, approx. 5 ct (1.2 x 1 cm). Various old-cut diamonds totaling approx. 1.5 ct. Dimensions: 2.8 x 3.2 cm. The pin with a safety clasp can be unscrewed, allowing it to be worn as a pendant. Condition reflects its age. A certificate from the jeweler Kröner, Hanover, dated 1991 is included. The original selling price was DM 19,000. An elegant piece of jewelry from around 1900 featuring a large oval sapphire set in a delicate halo of diamonds.
