Condition: In good condition with slight signs of wear. Lea Stein is a French designer best known for her colorful, graphic costume jewelry brooches. Her brooches consist of many thin layers—sometimes up to 50—that are fused together in a lengthy lamination process.Materials incorporated for texture and effects—such as lace, brocade, fabric, metal, mother-of-pearl, and other decorative elements—are often embedded between the layers to create iridescent, snakeskin-like, mosaic-like, or tortoiseshell-like effects.
