Falangcai bowl with yellow ground China, probably Qing Dynasty or later. Porcelain, glazed and decorated with polychrome enamel painting (Falangcai). Marked with a Kangxi mark on the foot. Height: 6.7 cm. Mouth diameter: 13.2 cm. In good condition. Elegantly shaped, with deeply sloping walls that rise from a circular footring to a slightly flaring rim. The exterior is decorated with four stylized flowers, whose petals are masterfully drawn and delicately painted in shades of pink and white. Each encloses a black enamel center. Every flower emerges from its own foliage with budding secondary blossoms. The four flowers stand out against a bright yellow background. On the underside is the four-character mark “Kangxi Yuzhi” (made by imperial order of the Kangxi Emperor), rendered in black enamel within a double square.
