Otterson, Heinz Cannon Welded iron. 14.5 x 21.5 x 10 cm. Otterson gives the surface of the stocky cannon a pockmarked appearance, making it look as weathered as an archaeological find. The motif of the cannon—welded together from screws and nuts, tubes, and wires—recurs throughout the Berlin artist’s oeuvre.
