Höckelmann, Antonius [*] Untitled (Mask) Black brush and colored chalks on vellum. 1984. 70 x 50 cm. Signed “Antonius Höckelmann” in black chalk and dated in the upper margin. Enlarged to monumental proportions, the mask—turned in profile—occupies the center of the composition; its caricature-like, distorted features, with their dynamically drawn contours and internal structures, are embedded in an equally dynamic background design. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog.
