Published by Edition Olympia 1972 GmbH in 1970.This poster was used to promote the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, in addition to the official promotional materials. It is one of the sports posters created by designer Otl Aicher. Twenty-seven artists were invited to design posters in order to establish, for the first time, a connection between art and sports. The open edition was printed only between 1970 and 1971 and has not been reproduced since.
