Based on the epic poem by the English poet John Milton: "Paradise Lost" from 1667. The Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, surrounded by numerous animals, including swan, hen and chicken, lions, leopard, horse, stag and an elephant on the left and birds in the branches above. With his right hand, Adam points to the archangel Raphael in the background. The image is freshly preserved and makes an impeccable impression. The corners of the sheet are slightly discolored and creased due to an earlier mounting, the corners of the sheet torn off at the top right and bottom left; a tiny tear in the margin at the bottom center.
