Date: 1850 Description: From a scrapbook containing travel sketches by the artist. “Esquisses faites par le Baron Edmond de Bretenières feudant les voyages en Suisse” (Sketches made by Baron Edmond de Bretenières during his travels in Switzerland). Keywords: 19th century, Romanticism, Landscape, Switzerland, Size: Paper: 21.6 cm x 26.2 cm (8.5 x 10.3 in) Condition: Good condition. Wavy at the corners due to old mounting. The lower right corner of the sheet is also slightly creased. Bumped along the upper edge of the sheet and damaged by isolated marginal tears.
