Each woodcut is signed “MEL BOCHNER” and dated on the reverse. Edition of 40 numbered copies. With this series, Bochner draws on Japanese ukiyo-e and combines Asian woodblock printmaking with contemporary conceptual art. In his abstract compositions, he explores the ephemeral and often illusory nature of perception and reality. Printed by Keiji Shinohara and published by Editions Ilene Kurtz, New York, 1990.
