An exceptional two-piece ensemble from the iconic "Galaxy" series, designed by Umberto Asnago for the renowned Italian manufacturer Giorgetti in the 1980s. The striking high-back armchair captivates with its throne-like silhouette, clear architectural structure, and bold interplay of contrasting red and blue colors. Together with the identically shaped, delicate side table, this lot is an outstanding example of sophisticated Italian postmodern design from the late 1980s. High-back armchair: Stained, matte gray-green wooden frame with characteristic, fine milled grooves along the upper edge of the backrest. Upholstery covered in coral-red leather. The upper back section is accented with a semicircular insert of deep blue leather. Includes a matching, loose lumbar cushion. Side table: Round, tall side table with a stained wooden frame, an inlaid diffused Glass top, and an additional rectangular/square shelf in the lower section. Dimensions (armchair): H 117 cm.
