In-4°, red shagreen, front cover featuring a mosaic design of a musical staff with a black border and a large treble clef in green shagreen, smooth spine, gilt head, decorated paper endpapers, double endpapers, covers and spine, bordered slipcase (Labussière). An edition illustrated with numerous full-page ornaments drawn and engraved by Louis Jou, including the full-color cover, the title in black, and, within a frame, four chapter heads in black and ochre, headbands, ornate letters, and tailpieces. Printed in an edition of 210 copies, this one on Arches vellum. Slight rubbing on the spine. A BEAUTIFUL COPY IN A CUSTOM-DESIGNED BINDING SIGNED BY LABUSSIERE, a bookbinder active during the second quarter of the 20th century (Sheet No. 70) (Monod, 10490) (Flety, 101).
