Watermark: letters IMP. An excellent, finely drawn early print, predating all text and featuring the incisions; to the right of the word “Xantus,” at the bottom of the remark, is the philosopher. With a narrow margin or border around the sharp, well-defined plate edge. Minimal signs of wear and small spots; traces of pencil annotations in the white margin at the bottom; adhesive and mounting residues on the reverse along the top edge; otherwise a beautifully preserved copy.
