RENÉ WELLER - Stamps and Stickers, 1984, 50 original stamps and 50 original “REWELL” stickers from that era. The fan stamp features his phone number from that time, as well as his private address at the time. Signs of age and storage. FROM THE PRIVATE COLLECTION OF MARIA WELLER. *René Weller had the fan stamps specially made at the time and even received special permission to use them as postage stamps on his fan mail. The stamp accompanied his fan mail and thus became a visible sign of his popularity and approachability toward his fans. The stamps, as well as the stickers from his self-created “REWELL” brand, are a piece of historical memorabilia that reflects his popularity and large fan base at the time. The special permission he received back then to issue his own stamp underscores his cult status at the time.
