On the reverse, a Slavic inscription reading “Save and protect.” The bail is adorned with the Archeropoietic Face. 20th-century Russian work H_8.5 cm L_5 cm Gross weight 110 gr. A Byzantine-style silver-gilt encolpion (Panagia), decorated with filigree interlacing patterns and a depiction of Saint Panteleimon the Unmercenary in cloisonné enamel. On the reverse side is an inscription in Church Slavonic: “Save and preserve.” The earring is adorned with an image of the Image Not Made by Hands (Christ Not Made by Hands). Russia, 20th century.
