Arsenal | Kiev III 1950 Estimate: €1,600–1,800 Year: 1950 Serial No.: 50319 Condition: B+ English: An exceptionally early Kiev III from the first small-scale Arsenal production run of 1950, fitted with a matching 1950-dated SK (Sonnar Krasnogorsk) 2/5 cm lens, no. 5002395. Early Kiev III cameras from this period retain numerous design features inherited directly from the pre-war Zeiss Ikon Contax III and were produced before regular large-scale production began in 1952. The close correspondence between the camera and the lens makes this a particularly desirable early original combination. * Fully Taxed German: An exceptionally early Kiev III from the first small-scale Arsenal production run of 1950, with a matching SK (Sonnar Krasnogorsk) 2/5 cm lens, No. 5002395, also dated 1950. Early Kiev III cameras from this period still feature numerous design characteristics of the pre-war Contax III by Zeiss Ikon and were produced before the start of regular mass production in 1952. The close temporal and numerical correspondence between the camera and the lens makes this early original combination particularly interesting. * Fully taxed
