OMEGA DE VILLE PRESTIGE JUMPING HOUR, REF. 166.1230 / 366.1230, 18K YELLOW GOLD A fine and unusual 18K yellow gold automatic jumping-hour wristwatch with tonneau-shaped case and silvered guilloché dial. Year: Circa 1999–2000 Dial: Silvered multi-finish dial with central radiating guilloché decoration, applied gilt Arabic minute numerals and baton markers, jumping-hour aperture at 12 o’clock, single skeletonised minute hand and outer minute track, signed Omega Automatic. Calibre: Omega automatic calibre 1221, 23 jewels, numbered 56,151,219, signed. Case: 18K yellow gold tonneau-shaped case with polished bezel and snap-on case back, inner case back stamped BA 166.1230 and 366.1230, Swiss hallmarks, signed Omega. Dimensions: Approx. 31 x 35 mm, excluding lugs Gross Weight: Approx. 53.6 g Bracelet: Beige leather strap with gilt pin buckle. Signature: Dial, movement and case. Over the following decades, the collection evolved into a remarkable variety of shapes and proportions. Among its most unconventional interpretations, the ref. 3858, dating from around 1980, stands out for its elongated, almost organic case, reminiscent of the silhouette of a manta ray. Powered by the manually wound calibre 215, with a gold buckle echoing the contours of its case, this unusual reference beautifully illustrates the creative freedom and elegance of Patek Philippe’s Golden Ellipse collection.
