[LAW] Jacques MORGUES - The Statutes and Customs of the Province of Provence, with Commentary Charles David, Aix, 1658—A new edition, revised, corrected, and expanded by the author of this unusual work. Includes the engraved portrait of the author on the frontispiece, which is missing from most copies. Contemporary full vellum binding with some flaws, slight tears, and partially detached hinges; the first blank endpaper is detached but present (with a pen annotation, likely an ex-libris), yet the binding is sound overall; the interior is uniformly browned on some of the pages. A fairly good copy. In-8, (4ff.) 450pp. (9ff.)
