GUEZENGARD Danièle (20th/21st century): “Lemons and a Bottle of Wine” Acrylic on paper mounted on wood, undated. Dimensions: 47 x 47 cm. Danièle Guézengard has always lived in Paris, where she was born in 1937. Upon her retirement, she moved to Quimper with her husband. Out of personal interest, but also in an effort to overcome serious health issues, she took classes at the Beaux-Arts. Painting became an urgent need for her, an overwhelming necessity, bewildering in its abundance and diversity. Her paintings, created with complete freedom, reflect her enthusiasm, her doubts, her torments, and her vulnerabilities. She passed away on February 8, 2026.
