Bossi, Benigno Fisonomie possibili, Part One. 13 etchings, including the title page. Each approx. 12.3 x 8.9 cm. 1775–1776. Le Blanc 129–140. Signed “Fragment.” Bossi published his series *Fisionomie* in 1776. The artist’s humorously exaggerated peculiarities of the figures—all depicted in profile—contrast with the wonderfully delicate, extraordinarily fine technical execution of the etchings. The complete series of these humorous and witty depictions in magnificent, vivid prints with narrow margins around the sharply defined plate edges. Individual sheets have slight foxing; the title page is slightly dusty; otherwise, the condition is impeccable and consistent throughout. - Please ask for condition reports for the lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalog.
