Vintage c. 1895 Belle Epoque Bicycle Excursion Photograph – High Society Group Portrait on Board Cabinet Mount Original vintage late 19th-century sepia-toned silver gelatin photograph capturing an elegant high-society cycling party, dating to the height of the Belle Époque era, circa 1895. The beautifully arranged group portrait features ten excursionists—men, women, and children—proudly posing with their safety bicycles outside a stately estate entrance gate, flanked by lush foliage. The image serves as an exceptional historical record of the late Victorian and Belle Époque "bicycle boom" that swept through Western Europe and America. The subjects are dressed in exemplary period cycling attire; the women wear traditional straw boater hats, structured jackets, long skirts, and bloomers tailored for riding, while the men and young boys sport tailored caps, collared shirts, and high-buttoned waistcoats. The bicycles themselves are marvelous historical specimens, showing early pneumatic tires, straight handlebars, and diamond or drop frames characteristic of the mid-1890s. To have a returned item shipped again, the buyer must pay all new shipping and handling fees.
