A handwritten leaf from the period has been bound in limina, listing the “pieces contained in this volume.” The cap is damaged; the spine is rubbed and shows signs of worm damage; the half-title page has a paper defect and a tear (Eloge de Racine); an engraved bookplate has been removed from the inside front cover.
