First edition, illustrated with three remarkable intaglio engravings: a frontispiece title page, a full-length portrait of Cardinal Mazarin, and another of Guillaume de Lamoignon, by Larmessin. A well-preserved copy in a rich, lined binding decorated with fleurs-de-lis. Slight water stain along the edges of the pages, more pronounced on the last two. Restoration at the top of the spine, stains on the binding, which has faded slightly, and a tear at one joint.
