Félix Vallotton 1865 Lausanne – 1925 Paris Standing Female Nude Pencil on paper Monogrammed lower right: fv Framed 28.5 × 19.5 cm (sheet size) Estate of Félix Vallotton; bequeathed to a private collection, Switzerland; Koller Auctions, Zurich, December 8, 2017, Lot 3061; private collection, Switzerland The female nude is one of the recurring themes in the work of Félix Vallotton, who explored the human figure in both his paintings and numerous drawings. After training at the Académie Julian in Paris, he developed a precise drawing style characterized by clear contours. His nude studies served not only as preparations for paintings but also constituted an independent area of his artistic practice. This drawing demonstrates his interest in posture and the relationship between outline and three-dimensional modeling. Edges show barely noticeable browning Auction Date: November 28, 2026 Approximate Auction Time: 6:10 p.m. CET
