It was manufactured in anticipation of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887. The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland is a historically renowned infantry battalion formed in the 1730's and 1740's as a regular regiment of the British Army.
