Pair of gilded chairs with original upholstery. European School. Late 19th century. Carved and gilded wood with fabric upholstery. Dimensions: 115 x 46 x 53 cm. Set of two high-backed chairs featuring curvilinear shapes and lavish Rococo carvings on the gilded frame. The backrests and seats retain their original fabric upholstery, featuring plant motifs in reddish tones, lending elegance and historical character. The composition of undulating lines and the gilded decoration reflect the historicist taste of the late 19th century, inspired by 18th-century French Rococo and designed for stately salons.
