Wine jug from Talavera de la Reina featuring a heraldic shield with a lion. Spanish School. 19th century. Glazed and polychrome ceramic. Dimensions: 31 x 12 x 11 cm. 19th-century Talavera wine jug with a cylindrical body and wavy rim, decorated with glazed enamel in bright colors. Its surface features a crowned shield depicting a rampant lion alongside polychrome fields of blue, yellow, and red, framed by scrolls and garlands. The piece demonstrates the expertise of the Talavera de la Reina workshops in the production of heraldic ceramics, intended both for everyday use and for the symbolic representation of lineages. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
