An important heraldic mortar, circular in shape with a slightly flared profile, decorated on the front with a heraldic shield carved in relief and surmounted by a stylized crown. The blazon features a central fleur-de-lis surrounded by mantling and scrolls with flowing lines. The sides display protruding architectural elements, reminiscent of corbels or structural reinforcements. The vigorous carving and robust modeling suggest that the piece was originally intended for outdoor or functional use. The aged patina in shades of pink and beige, along with stabilized cracks, erosion, and surface wear, attests to long-term exposure to the elements and lends the piece material authenticity.
