Document concerning the University of Orange. “I have received the copies you sent me of the degree certificates obtained by the Chaberts from the Faculty of Medicine at your university, and far from finding them justifiable, I have, on the contrary, noted fundamental flaws in these letters that seem only to reveal your excessive willingness to dispense with following the rules prescribed by the Elected Representative of March 1707. You may judge this for yourself from the list of these flaws that I have enclosed here, and if you have no satisfactory response to offer, you will have no choice but to order the revocation of the degrees obtained by the Chaberts and add this example to all those that prove how much your university needs to be reformed.”
