An antique polychrome wooden "Poupée de Malines" figure of the blessing Christ Child as Salvator Mundi. Richly carved and polychrome patinated figure of the standing Christ Child with his right hand raised in blessing and holding an orb in his left hand, on a richly decorated and gilt base with Spanish religious inscriptions referring to Saint Francis, the Holy Name of Jesus (JHS) and the Seraphic Order. Mechelen, 16th/17th century. Condition: damage and wear to the polychromy. Condition report available upon request.
