Miscellaneous [Palace of Versailles] A large folio album [505 x 690 mm], containing 73 plates from various sets of engravings: 1) Gardens and Fountains of Versailles. 1672–1689. Engraved by Pierre Le Pautre, François Chauveau, Jean Edelinck, Étienne Picart, Étienne Baudet, Sébastien Leclerc, Israël Silvestre, Louis de Châtillon, and Louis Simonneau the Younger. 53 plates, including two double plates. 2) The Pleasures of the Enchanted Isle, or the King’s Festivals and Entertainment at Versailles, Divided into Three Days, and Beginning on the 7th Day of May, in the Year 1664. 1673. Engraved by I. Silvestre. 9 plates. 3) Festivals of Versailles. 1675–1679. Engraved by Le Pautre and Chauveau. 11 plates. Very fine impressions on heavy white laid paper. Plate 20 is trimmed and mounted in a window. Scattered light foxing, minor imperfections, and slight oxidation along the edges of the leaves. Cardboard binding (rubbed), spine with gilt title.
