SANDRETTO RE REBAUDENGO FOUNDATION "Discovering Pinot Gallizio with Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Alba, the Italian Capital of Contemporary Art" Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, an internationally renowned collector and patron of contemporary art, guides visitors through an exhibition itinerary that winds through Alba to discover Pinot Gallizio: Almost a Self-Portrait presents Maurizio Cattelan’s perspective on the art of one of the leading Italian figures of the postwar European avant-garde. The exhibition, curated by Cattelan and Marta Papini, unfolds across multiple venues throughout the city: the City Council Chamber and the Teatro Sociale, the Church and Choir of the Maddalena, the Sala Fenoglio, the Federico Eusebio Archaeological Museum, and the industrial spaces of the Miroglio Group. Gallizio’s works, displayed in key locations from his life, engage in a dialogue with installations and new works by international artists. The tour takes visitors to the heart of the city’s history and present—a city designated by the Ministry of Culture as the Italian Capital of Contemporary Art for 2027.
