Contemporary half-marbled sheepskin, marbled paper boards, titled spine with raised bands, two green cloth ties (rubbed, corners bumped). Manuscript copy of this epistolary treatise on dogmatic and ethical theology, consisting of an introduction and 20 letters, by the Catholic apologist Felipe Lesmes Zafrilla (1792–1824), an ardent opponent of “modern errors.” He was first canon of Sigüenza Cathedral and later of Cuenca Cathedral, and frequently published in *El Restaurador*. This treatise was first published posthumously in 1826 as part of the series “Biblioteca de religión, ó sea colección de obras contra la incredulidad y errores de estos últimos tiempos.”
