Mondia expanded rapidly after World War II, producing precise chronometers and automatic watches. In 1969, Mondia joined the prestigious Movado-Zenith-Mondia industrial group. During this period (particularly in the 1970s), Mondia played a role similar to that of Tudor for Rolex: a more affordable alternative that still offered the high technical quality inherited from Zenith. This was the era of iconic models such as the Top Second, the Memory, and the Sky-Star.
