From a series of twelve landscapes with village scenes close to the 'Large landscapes by Pieter Bruegel I' also engraved by the Doetecum brothers. Hans Bol (1534-1593) from Mechelen probably knew Pieter Bruegel (who was working for the art dealer Claude Dorisy in Mechelen in 1550-51) and might have introduced him to Hieronymus Cock.
