ROCHE BOBOIS. France. Pair of armchairs, ca. 1970s–1980s. Black leather and chrome-plated steel. Condition: good. They show slight signs of wear consistent with their age. Measurements: 65 x 73 x 95 cm each. A pair of modern-design armchairs, characterized by the hallmarks of the soft, plush texture of the black leather and the structural lightness of the chrome-plated steel. The continuous frame, with straight lines and a geometric profile, wraps around the seat and arms, creating a sober, elegant silhouette that is very characteristic of late 20th-century furniture. The generous padding of the seat and backrest provides comfort and visual presence, while the suspended armrests soften the metallic rigidity of the ensemble.
