Set consisting of 19 coffee sets (11 with boxes), 8 coffee-and-milk sets (2 with boxes), 12 soup bowls, 36 dinner plates, and 21 dessert plates. Pieces feature edition stamps and inscriptions on the reverse. In good overall condition. One of the coffee cups has a chip. Extensive set of tableware commemorating the centennial of Salvador Dalí’s birth, produced in 2004 for La Vanguardia. Crafted from Bohemian porcelain, it reproduces details from three of the artist’s works: “The Eye of Time” (1949), “The Royal Heart” (1953), and “Singularities” (1936), bringing his surrealist imagery into the realm of the decorative arts. The pieces feature white surfaces decorated with eyes in intense shades of blue, hearts, and uniquely shaped clocks—motifs characteristic of Dalí’s symbolic universe. The arrangement of these images along the rims and surfaces of the tableware creates an appealing hallmark of contrast between the simplicity of the porcelain and the expressiveness of the designs. The collection was produced as part of the celebrations for the Year of Dalí, which gave rise to various initiatives aimed at promoting the artist’s work. Salvador Dalí was one of the leading figures of Surrealism and one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. His body of work spanned painting, sculpture, jewelry, design, and the decorative arts—disciplines into which he transposed his unique symbolic universe. His ability to integrate art into everyday objects helped push the traditional boundaries of artistic creation. His work is represented in major international institutions, including the Dalí Theater-Museum in Figueres, the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
