Schwartz OLIVIER SCHWARTZ AN ADVENTURE OF SPIROU AND FANTASIO Dupuis Original illustration for a tutorial published in the Spirou magazine No. 4521–4522, December 2, 2024. Watercolor and India ink on paper 29.8 × 42 cm (11.73 × 16.54 in.) “Usually, when teaching how to draw Spirou’s face, you start with a circle and then go through all the intermediate steps. I thought it would be more fun to compare its structure to a brioche. You can also draw his hands based on mittens or a circle of french fries. Another tip: let your pencil flow across the page and relax your wrist. That always leads to interesting movements.” O.S.
