9009 - Collection of woodcuts, 9 sheets in total, including: a color woodcut, "FRAU HOLLE" (1969), from a series based on Grimm’s fairy tales, signed, dated, and titled in lead, with crease marks, sheet approx. 49 x 37 cm, 1 woodcut in gray and black, THE MASTER AND THE DOG (1985), a literary illustration based on Ignacy Krasicki, signed, dated, and titled in lead, mounted in a simple mat, image approx. 25 x 18 cm, with mat approx. 51 x 42 cm, as well as 7 woodcuts, CALENDAR ILLUSTRATIONS (2007), from a 2008 calendar, including the months of January, February, March, June, September, October, and December, each signed in lead and dated 2007, each sheet approx. 23 x 27 cm, 1957–63 at the HBK Dresden, studying under Hans Theo Richter, among others; worked as a freelance artist in Meissen beginning in 1963; 1966–69 master student under Richter at the Academy of Arts in Berlin; 1974–88: teaching position at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle; numerous exhibitions in Germany and Austria through 2008
